Niall Horan, Dua Lipa and more arrive for Capital's Jingle Bell Ball

You know it’s finally Christmas when Capital puts on its annual Jingle Bell Ball – and this year’s red carpet has already got us feeling festive.
Kicking off the grand arrivals are music industry faves Niall Horan and Dua Lipa.

The former One Direction singer is due to take to the stage tonight to perform such hits as Slow Hands and This Town.
Niall has been away for almost two months touring America with his most recent gig for Jimmy Fallon’s show, but this weekend he’s back to Blighty for a very his special performance.
In a tweet about his joy at being home, he wrote: ‘7 and a half weeks away from home and tonight I’m going to sleep in my own bed.’
Dua Lipa also appeared wearing her classic attire of crop top and trousers.
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it – isn’t that right Dua?

And Rita Ora, not to be outdone on the sartorial front, turned up in a modest fur-trimmed coat.
That outfit choice is going to give the singer a pretty bad case of cold-legs-sweaty-neck.

James Arthur was obviously getting in the festive spirit in a Christmassy red jacket and black jeans – but who can see that when your eye is drawn to his super blingy watch.

Seriously, have you ever seen a snazzier watch? It looks like it’s made of solid gold
Also in attendance was Marvin Humes, who said he was most looking forward to seeing X Factor newcomers Rak-Su perform.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Humes said: ‘I’m most looking forward to seeing Rak-Su because they are so new.
‘They were 100 percent the right winners and I was saying from the start they should win the show and I was worried they weren’t going to win the show just because you never know what’s going to happen.
‘They are a breath of fresh air to these types of shows.’
Roman Kemp and Vick Hope – aka the two youngest breakfast radio hosts in the UK – are taking on presenting duties for the show.

‘It’s my fourth Jingle Bell Ball,’ Roman admitted to Metro.co.uk. ‘But this year will be different because usually the party is on Sunday and I’ve never done breakfast the next morning. I can guarantee I will do an all nighter, but I will be drinking water from midnight.’
Now that’s no fun, is it?

Well, that was a shocking end for dastardly DS Armstrong wasn’t it? In an affectionate parody of Home Alone and Gremlins, Armstrong regretted pursuing his vendetta against Cindy Cunningham by breaking into her home when Milo Entwistle’s well laid traps led to his death!
Well meaning Milo intended to teach the villain a lesson and trap him but things went a little too far. As Milo launched all manner of items at a determined and violent Armstrong, the Christmas lights zapped the stalker policeman and he was killed. Taking Milo’s accidental kill count to a solid hat trick.
Milo has been left feeling guilty but Nathan Morris explained to Metro.co.uk that Cindy would see Milo as the hero of the hour. However, Milo will be plagued with thoughts of Armstrong and he ends up heading to contact relatives of Armstrong to try and make amends.

We sat down for a chat with Nathan about the storyline and he also wasn’t ruling out the possibility that Milo’s bad luck could end in further fatality!
With hapless Milo around, Hollyoaks may be a dangerous place in 2018 – even if he doesn’t mean to hurt a fly!
